 Behavior Technician

Provide in-home ABA services under the training and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Behavior technician services are one-on-one activities related to the delivery of behavior analysis services, and are designated in and required by a behavior analysis service plan. Activities include monitoring of behavior analysis services, the implementation of behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors, data collection and display (e.g., graphics) as authorized by a recipient’s behavior analysis service plan and assist the BCBA. This position will have many opportunities for professional growth and development as we continue to expand in the area, and is a great opportunity to gain experience and grow as a professional in an incredibly rewarding field. Supervision and mentoring are available toward BACB credentialing.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with individuals, caregivers, and/or staff to implement behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors, data collection and display (e.g., graphics)

  • Complete daily progress notes (related to implementation of the behavior intervention plan) 

  • Support the family and other caregivers in implementing the behavioral support strategies in the plan and collecting data.

  • Assist the behavior analyst in developing reports and conducting assessments upon request.

  • Participate in meetings as requested by the behavior analyst.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in behavior analysis, special education, psychology, social work, sociology, liberal arts or a related field is highly preferred. If you do not have a bachelors degree, you still may be able to join Center for ABA following an examination of your resume and educational background.

  • Previous experience working with children with special needs is highly preferred. 

  • Training is provided. Must be able to complete any additional training provided online or face-to-face.

  • Must have reliable transportation and valid car insurance.

  • Need to be able to pass a criminal background check.

  • Must follow recommendations by the supervising BCBA, maintain communication and update progress.

  • All applicants must become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within one month of joining. Center for ABA will pay for this training.
